Anyone having construction or building work carried out has legal duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007) unless they are a domestic client.
The regulations place legal obligations on all those involved with construction and maintenance of buildings structures and related equipment and installations whether as Client, Designer or Contractor and create a duty-holder position of CDM Coordinator.
