Party Wall Act

The party wall Act 1996 sets out strict parameters where notice has to be given by one owner to his neighbour in respect of the work he proposes to carry out.

The act can cover the excavation of foundations, removal of chimneys; cutting into the party wall to inset steelwork and loft conversions.

Whether you are a building owner wishing to carry out work, or an adjoining owner who enjoys rights under the act. It is important to take advice in the early stages, in order to reduce delays to your project.

DSP Chartered Surveyors have the knowledge and experience of acting in accordance with party wall legislation. Our involvement will ensure that your property interests are fully protected and that all procedures are currently followed.
